China Glaze DV8

I personally think that the China Glaze OMG Collection, was one of their most exciting collections to date. Who could resist an entire range of holographic polishes! I know I definitely can't. Unfortunately I am still trying to complete my own collection - with only BFF to go. As of today I now officially own IDK and I wanted to celebrate OMG style with a DV8 mani. :)

You can really see the difference in the polish when you compare the images taken in natural and halogen light, against the images under fluorescent or overcast lighting. To me, the blue completely changes, sometimes it looks teal, other times it can look like a baby blue or an electric blue.

This is another scotch tape mani, influenced by Chloe's Nails. But I put my own spin into it by adding some bling such as silver holographic striping tape and a rhinestone. The black I used for the french top coat is Wet n Wild's 'Black Creme', which is a BRILLIANT one coater! I really love this black because it has an insanely glossy finish, easy to apply and really affordable. Therefore I have chosen this as my new go-to black!

I found the striping tape to be a little bit challenging. It was a little time consuming and had a few problems with the edges lifting, but that was fixed when I applied top coat. Overall I love this top coat because it is quite feminine, shiny and has a bit of edginess to it - the perfect combination for a manicure <3
